Junk Kouture World Finalist “Alternative Route”

A massive congratulations to Alternative Route by Jakub Dragowski (model) Charlie Sheridan and Adrian Portilla Bartolome and their amazing teacher and mentor Ms Hetherton on their outstanding achievement last night on reaching the World Finals of Junk Kouture 2026!

Described by designer Clare Garvey as A Tim Burton Masterpiece Alternative Route absolutely raised the roof of the Helix in Dublin. Thank you to everyone who helped put along the way, to the amazing supporters from CMG who travelled to Dublin on Wednesday last and to all of the TY’s who captured the moments throughout in this brilliant footage. More videos can be found on the school social media  here.

A special congratulations to Ms. Hetherton, whose dedication and vision over the past number of years have seen Cnoc Mhuire Granard’s presence in Junk Kouture go from strength to strength each year.

This year’s success marks the SECOND time a Cnoc Mhuire Granard entry has qualified for the Junk Kouture World Final — a phenomenal achievement for the school. The first came in January 2023, when Back to the Future made history by winning the inaugural Junk Kouture World Final in Abu Dhabi.

Congratulations and well done also to Milk It by Shauna Farrelly (model) Leisha O’Reilly and Bronagh Reilly who also took to the stage lastnight in the Helix Dublin. An amazing achievement to have two teams to reach the Junk Kouture City Finals in one year!
